Vacation Pictures!

Due to lots of rainy days we didn't get to many pictures this year.  Here are a few of the highlights.
Rio Grande Gorge

See my die hard fisherman?  This is the same spot the next morning.  You can see the road on the left top corner of the both pictures. This was taken from the bridge across this stream, looking down stream.

This is looking up stream from the same bridge.  See this calm peaceful stream?

White Sands is fun for kids with sand disk.   This was a new experience for 2 of mine.  All the others have played at The Sandhills in TX.  They all agree the dunes are bigger in Texas.   I like the fact that we can camp at the Sandhills.   It was still fun for all of them.

Then we did the Valley of Fire.  These are lava rocks that they are climbing on.

Here we are starting down into Carlsbad Caverns.  I found it interesting we walked about the same distance down into the caverns as we would have if we had walked from the top of Palo Dura Canyon to the bottom.   It helped the kids get a visual on how deep they were when we stayed in the canyon our last night on the road.
