Quilting

Today T finally finished her quilt.  She started it I think the second week of Oct.  I know it was early Oct.  She was making it for her niece's birthday in the latter part of Oct.  With much prompting and much ripping out of rush jobs of sewing that mom wouldn't accept she finished today.
T finishing up tying the quilt.
K working on opening it.   She had it socked in the sack so help was needed.
Mommie helping get it out of the sack and spreading it out for her.
T and K with the new quilt between them.

I am very proud of T for sticking it out and finishing even though she had to rip it out several times and redo.

Shared Pictures and the Joys of Grand babies....

Yesterday was the first day of baby sitting grandson K. I met mommy at the hwy to have her avoid opening gates and less of her time getting to school. She said he usually takes a nap about 9-9:30, and again around 12. hahahahh right! NOT! He finally shut his eyes for about 10 minutes around 11. Then again for a whole 30 minutes at 3. Yet he was totally happy. Never fussed at all.
I did call his daddy since I forgot to ask if any food was off limits. He said no so.......... we rocked this child's digestive system. He joined me in my smoothie then had some of S's for breakfast. At lunch I tossed a bit of the chicken soup, with LOTS of veggies, in the vita mix. Daddy had already warned me he doesn't do veggies well. :) He had chicken soup! when DIL B told C that he ate veggies her mouth dropped open. :) After I fed him his soup then he helped me with mine. He enjoyed the soggy bread and broth as I ate. I had him in the sling so it was a bite for me and a bite for him.
He spent the day being happy. He didn't fuss and didn't sleep. Most of the day he was in the sling. We did do some floor time, but since we have a helpful 2 yo you have to be right there for that. I really am laughing as he LOVES babies and wants to hold them. It should be lots of fun for mommy when she has the baby in less than 2 months.
Grandson T didn't just play with the baby. He had to borrow T's boots for a walk around the house. He walked really well in them, even if they were above his knees.
I didn't get any pictures but my ergo came after K left. Since I needed to see how it would fit me and all I ask T if he wanted to get in. For those that don't know an ergo is a belly/back pack for babies and smaller children up to I think 40 lbs. They are GREAT! Very comfortable. T was thrilled to get to be packed and I carried him around for probably an hour. I would ask if he wanted down, "No". So on we went. He snacked on bread and helped me drink my water as he was toted.
I was tired last night but it was a good tired, full of accomplishment and blessings. I don't get K again until Monday. Today daddy has daddy day care :) Then on Tue. Daddy is going to start K off right by taking him to the livestock auction. I am selling tickets to watch that show!

Saturday in Pictures

It's so hard to decide what pictures I want on here. I had a lot of pictures I took yesterday.

What blog would be complete without Grand baby pictures?

This one was the day before, but still worth posting.

Yesterday the kids played with chalk. They "might" have shown someone how to paint their face.

MN decided to draw a horse. I was amazed at how well she did with it. This was free hand and as you can see large.

My roses are beautiful. Yesterday we had a shower. I couldn't resist getting the camera out afterwards to get the rain drops on the rose.
This is my other pretty rose. Each rose on this one isn't as big as the pink, but the colors are so beautiful.
I have no idea what kind of plant this is. The flowers are extremely tiny.
Pool cleaning......or supervision of pool cleaning.

Dh's goal is to get all the brown out. Not sure it will happen but it is his baby!
After working and cleaning it was break time.

Baby peacocks in a few weeks? Maybe!

Prayers and Pictures....

I "thought" I had two good ones of my youngest grandbaby, but they were both blurry, so I will share the one with my other grandbaby's mommy holding him. We had a house full for supper tonight. It was great. I got to get my grandbaby K to sleep twice! While Grandbaby T kept coming for me to hold him while mommy held that "other" baby! He really did well sharing mommy though.

After supper they cleaned the table off to play spoons. I couldn't resist snapping a few pictures of the youngest player in the group. I wouldn't want to play poker against this kid would you?

My son came out with trailer in tow. I loaded all my feeder lambs and kids in it for the sale. YEA! Putting out feed just got a whole lot easier! I have about 5 keeper lambs and kids and 6 or so younger bottle babies. Sure beats keeping feed out for that 50+ that we sent to town today.

One more I took the other morning of my DIL snuggling her son. It was just to sweet to not include.

I do ask for prayers tomorrow as DH is having back surgery. It is day surgery, to "trim" a disk in his lower back. He is to take it easy for a week, meaning no work and no anything. Yea, right! Should be interesting. Then light duty, no lifting, but back to work if all goes well. We have to be at the hospital by 6 AM.

Enjoy the pictures!

I will Post....

Not a lot going on today, or all week. Kids did start a new or old year of school depending on the child on Monday. Everyone seemed happy with it and did well. They were all finished by lunch. With very few redo's. T had the most. Her problem is she is in way to big a hurry. It isn't that she can't do it, it is she doesn't even bother to read the lesson before doing the questions. Most of the time she still manages to pull a C out, but a C just doesn't cut it here. My new threat/promise is that if she has a re-do she will have to sit a LONG time and just think. Oh what a terrible consequence that will be for her!
My DIL sent me new pics of the kid. I had to share my favorite.

In other news we did get part of our garden planted on Sat. We planted green beans, squash, cantaloupe and watermelon. I didn't buy any tomatoes or peppers. Walmart just didn't have any that I liked. Guess that was God, since it was 27 degrees this morning. Since we didn't have much in the way of blooms on our peach trees I doubt after this we will get any fruit. I haven't looked to see if the fig tree which was just starting to leaf out got bit.
I am off to see what I can accomplish today. After a cold start the day is warming up quickly. We are already at 59. Maybe I can accomplish Bible study in the sun! That sounds like a great thing to accomplish. All be blessed!
